Shifts: Base hours are 4:00 pm to 12:00 am

Type: Part Time

Compensation: 

  • Bartenders: Base hourly of $5.00 per hour + shared bartender tip pool
  • Setup & Tear Down: Additional hours on the days prior or after the event, $12-$18 hourly
  • Additional management positions may command a higher hourly rate based on bartending and management experience. 


We are currently hiring service industry staff, including bartenders and barbacks, for our 2025 Summer Concerts at Nickel Plate District Amphitheater featuring Sam Barber and Band of Horses.


We're seeking licensed, reliable and experienced service industry professionals to work this profile outdoor Summer Concert Series. This position is the perfect part time opportunity to earn some extra money while experiencing great live music in one of Indy's most exciting parks.

Job Description

The ideal Bartender candidate must have a passion for people, live music, and a strong commitment to customer service. We are seeking hard-working, dependable, team-oriented bartenders ready to work in a fast-paced, high energy environment. As the face of our company, this position requires exceptional customer service skills that exemplify our mission and values. This position reports directly to the Special Events Beverage Director.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service, take and prepare orders efficiently
  • Focus on speed without sacrificing quality
  • Handle all cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently, according to company standards
  • Observe all state and federal laws regarding the service of food and alcohol, including maintaining current Certifications
  • Maintain clean service area and stock inventory as needed
  • Pre and post-shift cleaning and disinfecting

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Valid Indiana servers permit
  • Minimum 1 year of bartending
  • Ability to walk/stand for extended periods of time
  • Comfortable lifting 30 pounds

Skills Required

  • Create cocktails in fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of drink recipes and ingredients
  • Knowledge of industry trends and proper safety requirements
  • Positive, outgoing attitude 
  • Team-player 
  • Diverse taste in music
  • (Bonus) Experience using Square POS

Work Environment

  • Outdoor event and with long shifts
  • Conditions subject to weather which can include heat, rain and other unforeseen elements
  • Fast-paced, festival atmosphere
