WE'RE LOOKING FOR THE BEST

Our companies offer a number of highly competitive internship opportunities in concert and live events industries. For the last 10 years MOKB Presents has developed some of the most cutting edge live music venues (including HI-FI, HI-FI Annex), launched nationally-recognized concert series and festivals (Garfield Park Summer Concerts, Holler on the Hill, WonderRoad) and facilitates event services for some of Indiana's top entertainment companies.  Over the years our program has evolved into a jumping off point for many careers in music, events and entertainment. Due to the program's success, and the hands-on experience our interns receive, we experience a high number of applicants for these positions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 18 years old, 21+ preferred*
  • Current college junior or senior
  • Available for minimum of 20 hours per week for 12-week program
  • Reliable transportation
  • Off-site and venue activities may be limited for interns under 21 years of age due state law and venue requirements. 

PERSONALITY

  •  Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Motivated, self-starter with ability to work independently and in groups
  •  Receptive to direction and feedback 
  •  Passion for audible and visual arts
  •  Comfortable working in a high-energy, fast-paced work environment


CORE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMS


Marketing, Promotions, & Social Media: Assist marketing team in execution of traditional, digital, and social event marketing campaigns, surface creative ideas, on-site marketing at events, manage and update social media accounts.


New: Video Production: Creation of video content for social media channels, film and edit b-roll footage of concert events for archival purposes, create sizzle reels for events and sponsors


Event Production: Event preparation and planning, vendor sourcing, preparing artist and vendor advances, updating budgets, on-site event management supporting our event producers.


Graphic Design: Development of concert and event posters, flyers and online assets for our marketing team (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).


Sales & Business Development: Research to support new client acquisition, communicate with potential clients, develop and distribute sales materials, prepare proposals, manage client relationships


Talent Buying/Booking: Assist booking team with talent buying/booking for HI-FI, HI-FI Annex, and other local venues by learning how to communicate and work with talent agents, entailing phone calls and emails, and learning how to use booking software and other industry tools to schedule, book, develop artist contracts, advance riders, and conduct market research. 


Outside of our core program, we have the flexibility to incorporate strong candidates into other aspects of our business including information science, analytics, accounting, and sales-focused roles.  


Timeline: We work on a rolling timeline and generally like to confirm our interns at least two semesters in advance of their scheduled start date.  With that said, the volatility that the pandemic has created in the live events world has more immediate opportunities.  We are actively placing candidates into our program through out the year. We are flexible to work with last minute submissions, provided we have openings in the program.
