Position: Line Cook
Type: Full/Part Time, Hourly
We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our kitchen. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare and cook dishes to the exact specifications set forth by the chef and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces
- Cook food items in accordance with recipes and guidelines provided by the chef.
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies.
- Ensure that food is cooked in a timely manner and according to safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area.
- Monitor food levels and replenish supplies as needed.
- Assist in the development of new menu items and recipes.
- Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach while working in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a line cook or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Certification from a culinary school or equivalent experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
